The number of journalists to descend on Bonnievale for the recent launch of the River Collection was arguably among the largest ever. For the town, it meant guest accommodation was booked up.

“What a turnout!” exclaimed one authoritative business and marketing website in its report about the event.

The 35 publications and media outlets represented included leading titles across a range of lifestyle and hard news categories.

“They are approachable, enjoyable and well-made, offering good value,” said a longtime food and wine writer in her review. Another writer for a high-end quarterly lifestyle and leisure publication focused on Cape Town said: “The accessible, affordable, and entirely lovable River Collection was launched with great success, which will likely continue with the addition of red wines to the range later on this year.”

Additional media coverage is expected to appear all the way to December.
